Confronting the Controversies

Pastor Adam Hamilton, author or the book on world religions we recently studied, provides a biblical perspective on issues such as separation of church and state, euthanasia, evolution, abortion, death penalty, homosexuality, and prayer in schools. 

In addressing these issues, Hamilton provides his own views but also addresses the views of others.  By seeking to understand the positions different sides hold and to present them in a fair ways, he also provides you with a model for how to dialogue about moral issues while maintaining respect for persons on both sides of the debate. 

Hamilton’s hope is that after reading, thinking, and praying about these issues, you will have a better understanding of how the Christian faith relates to critical issues in contemporary society  and will come away with a deeper desire to connect your faith to your daily life.
