Shower and Laundry Ministry

Just Compassion

TUMC is a member of an ecumenical group called Just Compassion of Tigard. This organization reaches out to the homeless population of Tigard, providing emergency shelter in the winter months, a weekly meal and shower and laundry services. Our church’s part is to welcome our homeless population to use our shower facilities and to provide laundry service to them.

Connect with Just Compassion of East Washington County at their website for more information and ways you can be involved.

  • What they’re saying…

I spent about 2 years enjoying Jubilatte’s warm inviting atmosphere. I’d drink coffee while my kids played in the play area. It was in Jubilatte that I met and began to form relationships with church members and also Pastor Jeremy. When we decided to start attending Sunday worship, it was clear to me what an impact Jubilatte had on my family’s life. Tigard UMC is where we belong. I’m not sure if we would have discovered that if it wasn’t for Jubilatte.
