Tigard United Methodist Church continues to offer services to the community by organizing events for the community in the neighborhood and rents out their facilities to the community at very reasonable rates.
TUMC supports and houses the Tigard Cooperative Playschool, Tongan UMC congregation,
Apostolic Assembly in the Faith of Jesus Christ (Spanish), Encore Women's Ensemble, Tigard Recreation Association, Weight Watchers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Brownies, and a variety of denominational recreation leagues.

ESL classes help others learn to speak English. Classes meet
Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 to 2:00pm. Childcare provided.
Backpack Project - TUMC purchased and filled 121
backpacks for Greenburg Oaks children
Food bank - the congregation makes donations of canned food to the
Food Bank on a monthly basis
Free Clinic - TUMC is one of the churches in the area who supplies
dinner to the staff of the NEW free healthcare clinic
TRA - Tigard Recreation Association provides a non-profit, volunteer
run indoor park for children (ages 0-5) Monday - Thursday 9:30 - 11:30. NOW

Habitat for Humanity TUMC volunteers join others to build homes
Prayer Chain is praying for one another and it is a ministry to which
all members are committed. This team focuses on needs that are phone into
the church office.
The Angel Tree program provides Christmas gifts for needy children at
the Greenburg Oaks housing project.
Good Neighbor Shelter
- Tigard Men prepare a meal for the Good
Neighbor Shelter one day a month.
Creekside
Village Worship – Volunteers lead
worship the first Sunday of each month for Creekside Village Retirement Home in
Beaverton.
Tongan Fellowship Worship 12:30 pm on Sundays
Tongan Choir 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Saturdays
Apostolic Assembly (Spanish) 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sundays
